What if my child needs to arrive late, leave early, or miss a day?

Simply send a note the day before with your child; or email our Office Manager (all requests MUST be in writing for our records). For a late arrival, bring the camper directly to the camp office, sign them in, and a staff member will escort them to their group. What happens if it rains?

LOTS OF THINGS! First of all, a misty or lightly rainy day will not stop us from following our normal schedule (so send your child with a light rain jacket). If it is a steady downpour, we resort to our vast arsenal of indoor activities, including portable teamwork activities, character values lessons, skits, songs, group games, portable sports activities and much more. We also continue to hold our popular spirit assemblies indoors.

Do Specialty Camps participate in swim lessons? Free swim?

We are waiting on the CT State Guidelines in regards to swim lessons. Once we receive this information we will  be updating the website. Traditionally, all campers (with the exception of trip based groups) are expected to participate in swim lessons. Campers are tested and put in appropriate classes on the first day of the session. Specialty Camps will not typically get morning free swim but will have afternoon swim lessons.

What’s the deal with Family Nights?

Based on the State of CT guidelines we will be deciding if it is possible to host family nights for 2021. In past years the even weeks of camp on Thursday all families are invited to attend our camp family night. There is no fee for the night’s events (on line registration is required).
